 Story of the travel of H. Mouhot from his journal and reproducing the original text appeared in 1863 in LE Tour du Monde (Cordier BI-1064). Brave missionaries have settled in the wild marches of Annam and Cambodia; they sailed on the great Mekong River the artery of the great eastern valley of Indo-China and reported to the geography the vast Lake Touli-Sap and the ancient ruins which sleep on its banks. The honor of linking all these discoveries of describing and drawing these ruins of crossing the chain separating the two basins of the Menam and the Mekong as far as the borders of China was reserved for H. Mouhot .
